1.- Know Your Why, Ask yourself. Why is exercising important to you? What are your long term health goals?
2.- Be Realistic; make your schedule achievable. Start with one or two workouts per week. Once you can keep up with this routine, add more.
3.- Be Consistent, being consistent is key to building new habits. Try to set a schedule that can be repeated week after week.
4.- Do What You Love, But Also What You Can. Doing what you love is always the best choice. However, any kind of exercise is better than none.
5.- Push Yourself, expect to have to push yourself the first couple of weeks. Once it becomes a habit, you won’t have to.
6.- Be Positive; make your self-talk encouraging. Whenever you think you can’t do it, quickly change it to Yes, I can and I will!
